Er rekonstruiert die Planung und die Inszenierung des Angriffs als sauberen »Blitzkrieg", die symbolische Politik der Besetzung und Unterwerfung sowie die fotografischen Ikonen, die der Krieg produzierte.
Paul untersucht die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven der Akteure - angefangen von den Militärs, über die »embedded correspondents" bis hin zu den Freelance-Reportern - auf das Geschehen und die vielfältigen »Bildstörungen" in Gestalt von Weblogs und Warblogs, die das gewünschte Kriegsbild immer wieder unterliefen.
